Canoeing and camping Ontario!

News from my Campfire

Sorry Dave, I stole this from your website....

From the North-South Partnership for Children website.

Join the Caring Circle ? Give the children a better life

You can help improve life for children and youth in impoverished First Nation communities in remote northwestern Ontario.

Life is tough for them. Many go hungry and live in substandard homes. They can't get the education, health care and recreation services taken for granted in other parts of Ontario. Frustration and despair are neighbours. Suicide rates are high.

The North-South Partnership for Children is building a Caring Circle to support the children and youth. Agencies, organizations, individuals and businesses are joining. Why don't you?

I'm wondering if we as a group could pull together and get some of the things needed by this this organization?

I have a pantry full of dry and canned goods I'd gladly share. And some camping stuff I can donate as well.

And I'd be willing to house any goods you could spare and see to it that they get shipped off to the North-South Partnership for Children. I'm sure WildChild would be able to help me out with this as well.

The government has seriously dropped the ball on this issue.

Anyone willing to help?

Dave
